Bitcoin ATMs / Bank accounts and wallets
A Bitcoin ATM can look familiar, but its payment process depends on the operator. Before withdrawing cash, check how the machine takes payment and where it sends the Bitcoin.

A cash-funded Bitcoin ATM purchase typically uses the bills you insert and a Bitcoin receiving address. That process does not by itself link the machine to your bank balance. Check the selected operator’s current payment methods and account requirements because services differ.
For example, CoinFlip’s ATM guide describes registering, scanning a wallet address and inserting cash. A provider may offer separate online or bank-funded services with different terms.
If your intended purchase money is still in your bank, you can compare a bank-wire Bitcoin purchase before taking cash to a machine. Crypto Dispensers’ ATM and retail cash-loading services have ended. Our current services use bank or card funding. Review full costs.
Tell our team the amount you have in mind and how you plan to fund it. We can help you prepare a wire request and understand the account, bank and wallet checks.

Available to eligible U.S. customers, excluding Georgia, Nevada, New York and Washington. Account and purchase review apply. Creating an account sends no money.
| Part | What it does | What to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| Your bank account | Holds your bank funds and supports payments permitted by the bank | Availability, outgoing limits, charges and approval |
| The operator’s account or order | Records the Bitcoin purchase and requested customer checks | Accepted funding, actual allowance, quote and receipt |
| Your receiving wallet | Provides the supported Bitcoin address for delivery | Correct asset, network, address and who controls access |
Scanning a Bitcoin receiving QR code gives the operator a destination for the Bitcoin. Use the receiving instructions from your own supported wallet or account. Avoid a QR code supplied by an unexpected caller.
Check the operator’s privacy policy if your question is about what customer information it collects or shares. A cash-funded payment does not establish anonymity. Our Bitcoin ATM overview explains the broader process.
Confirm your full intended purchase with the operator before taking money out of the bank. Published limits and actual account allowances can differ.
Read our $20,000 Bitcoin ATM guide, ATM limits guide and ATM fee examples. If you already hold paper cash, the large-cash preparation guide covers the choices to work through.
Compare a bank-funded offer while the money remains in your account. You can ask our team about the full intended amount, bank requirements and wallet before making a withdrawal. Confirm your eligibility and actual purchase terms.
If you already withdrew the money and are considering putting it back, ask your bank about depositing cash before a Bitcoin purchase.
Our wire service has no minimum or maximum purchase amount. Bank limits, eligibility and required review apply. The Bitcoin price can change during processing. Bank transmission, review, your approval and wallet delivery affect timing.
Compare the full dollars you pay and the Bitcoin delivered to the same receiving wallet. Ask whether the displayed exchange rate includes a spread and which service, bank or delivery charges are separate.
Our standard starting wire service fee is 8% of the full amount sent. On a $20,000 wire, that is a $1,600 service fee, leaving $18,400 before other applicable costs. Your bank’s outgoing wire charge is separate.
This example does not establish your final Bitcoin amount or a price lock. Rates can be reviewed as your transaction volume grows and may be lowered individually. Confirm the rate for your actual request before funding.
Review our wire costs and calculator. Include separate bank charges when setting a total spending budget.
A wire is not guaranteed to cost less than a machine. Compare actual offers at a similar time and check the full Bitcoin delivery amount. Choose the method that fits your bank, account approval and timing needs.
A cash-funded machine can accept physical bills under its operator’s requirements. Confirm the chosen machine’s registration, identification, funding and wallet rules. Separate online products may have different requirements.
Check the machine’s supported funding process with its operator. A cash insertion and a Bitcoin wallet QR code do not themselves authorize access to your bank balance. Review any separate card or bank-payment authorization before accepting it.
Registration creates or verifies an account with the operator. Any bank or card connection is a separate funding step governed by the service you choose.
The operator sends it according to the order’s receiving instructions and delivery conditions. Confirm the Bitcoin network and your receiving address, then follow the order status and transaction record.
You can compare bank-funded providers for the intended amount. Crypto Dispensers offers wire purchases with no service minimum or maximum, subject to bank limits, eligibility and required review.
