Buy Bitcoin Cash

Bitcoin Cash (BCH) purchase guide

Bitcoin Cash is a separate cryptocurrency from Bitcoin. Before a purchase, check that your account offers BCH and that your receiving wallet supports the BCH network.

Review the available payment method, complete quote, required checks and delivery instructions before sending money. A Bitcoin wire purchase is for BTC and does not establish BCH availability.

Know what you are buying

Bitcoin Cash has its own network and ticker.

Bitcoin Cash is a cryptocurrency identified by the ticker BCH. It became a separate network from Bitcoin in 2017 and was developed for peer-to-peer electronic payments. You can hold BCH in a compatible wallet and send it to someone who accepts it.

The similar names can cause confusion. Bitcoin uses the ticker BTC. Bitcoin Cash uses BCH. They have different networks, prices, and wallet requirements. Selecting one does not mean you are buying the other.

Looking to buy Bitcoin with physical cash?

In-store cash deposits have ended. For an earlier retail payment, keep your receipt and use past-payment support. For a new BTC purchase from your bank, review the Bitcoin wire service. This BCH guide describes a different asset.

The purchase process

Check the asset, review the quote, then confirm.

Start in your Crypto Dispensers account and check the assets and payment methods currently available to you. Availability can depend on your location, verification, and the provider handling the purchase.

01 / ACCOUNT

Open or access your account.

Complete the account and identity steps requested for your purchase. Check that Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is offered in your available purchase flow before funding a transaction.

02 / REVIEW

Select BCH and review the details.

Confirm the payment method, amount you will pay, BCH amount you will receive, fees, and delivery instructions. Review any limits or processing time shown.

03 / CONFIRM

Check the destination.

If a wallet address is requested, use a compatible BCH receiving address. Confirm the asset and network before approving the purchase, then retain your order details.

If BCH is not listed or you are unsure which payment route supports it, contact support before sending money. A method available for Bitcoin may not be available for Bitcoin Cash.

Wallet and network

Use a wallet that explicitly supports BCH.

Open the receiving wallet and choose Bitcoin Cash. Check the wallet's deposit instructions and the network it supports. Do not rely only on the word “Bitcoin” or on an address that looks familiar.

If you are sending to another platform, confirm that it currently accepts BCH deposits and review any minimum deposit or confirmation requirements. Copy the address from the intended receiving account and check it again before confirming.

BTC and BCH are not interchangeable.

Sending on the wrong network can result in a loss that cannot be recovered. If the asset, network, or address instructions do not agree, stop and ask for help.

Price, fees, and timing

Understand the full purchase before you approve it.

The final quote

BCH has a changing market price. Review the actual amount you will receive at checkout, rather than relying on a price you saw earlier.

The total cost

A purchase can include provider or service charges, payment-related costs, and network fees. A network fee alone does not describe the full cost of buying.

The delivery time

Payment processing, verification, transaction review, and network confirmations can affect timing. Use the estimate and status supplied for your order.

Read our fees and disclosures for additional information. No fixed price, fee, or completion time is promised on this page.

Common questions

Questions about Bitcoin Cash purchases

Is retail cash loading still available?

No. Retail cash loading is discontinued. Keep your receipt for an earlier transaction and contact official support. Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is an asset name, not a way to pay with physical cash.

Can I send BCH to my Bitcoin wallet?

Only use a receiving option that explicitly supports Bitcoin Cash on the BCH network. A wallet app may support several assets, but each asset has its own receiving instructions. Do not use a BTC deposit option for a BCH transfer.

Which payment methods can I use?

Check which methods are offered specifically for BCH in your account. A method offered for BTC may not support BCH. Before paying, review provider availability, verification, the total charge, BCH received and delivery timing. See our credit-card crypto purchase guide if you are considering a card.

Why might my purchase take longer than expected?

Account verification, payment settlement, additional review, or network confirmations can affect completion. Keep the order reference and contact support if the order status does not explain the delay. Avoid placing a duplicate order simply because the first one is pending.

Can I cancel a BCH transfer after it has been sent?

Do not expect an on-chain transfer to be reversible. If you notice a problem with an order, contact support immediately. Whether an order can be stopped depends on its stage; recovery cannot be promised once funds have been sent.

What should I consider before buying?

BCH can lose value. Make sure you understand the asset, the total price, how you will hold it, and the risk of sending it incorrectly. Never buy or send crypto because someone demands payment to unlock an account, release a prize, or protect your money. Visit our scam prevention center if something feels wrong.

Your next step

Check your available purchase options.

Access your account to see which assets and payment methods are offered to you. Confirm BCH availability and review the complete transaction before continuing.
