Your Akron buying guide
Keep the beneficiary, bank details and purchase reference together.
Save the sending confirmation and use an approved channel for private documents.
Keep your final approval, purchase confirmation and Bitcoin delivery details.
Start the purchase request before arranging the wire. Enter the proposed amount, the bank account that will send it and a supported Bitcoin receiving address. Complete the requested checks, then keep the approved beneficiary, routing details, account number and purchase reference together.
Your bank’s wire form may label the reference field differently. Compare its fields with the instructions issued for your request. If you’re unsure where a reference or address belongs, ask our team before authorizing payment. Confirm the bank’s separate charge and the amount it will actually send.
After sending, keep the receipt or bank confirmation with your purchase request. It helps you report the amount, sending date and payment reference accurately. Share private receipts and account documents only through an approved secure channel when our team requests them.
When asking for an update, tell us which stage you see in your account. A bank payment, funds review, final quote and Bitcoin delivery each have their own records. Use the current request reference so our team can help you understand the status of that purchase.
After funds arrive and required review is complete, read and approve the final Bitcoin quote before we buy. Check the net Bitcoin and full receiving details together. Save the purchase confirmation and delivery transaction information alongside the original bank receipt for your own records.
Our ATM and retail cash-loading services have ended. You can prepare an eligible purchase online from Akron and ask for help before funding. Ohio’s Division of Securities also provides independent cryptocurrency information covering the assets and their risks. Read it alongside the current terms of any service you’re considering.

Purchase costs and timing
The standard wire service fee is 8% of the full amount sent. A $10,000 wire has an $800 service fee, leaving $9,200 before other applicable costs. Your bank’s charge is separate. Review all costs and the final Bitcoin quote for your request.
You can ask our team to review your rate as your transaction volume grows. Any lower rate is agreed individually; there is no automatic discount schedule.
Bitcoin prices can change while a wire is in transit or under review. Your final approval comes after funds arrive and required checks are complete. Your bank’s sending time, account review, quote approval and Bitcoin delivery each affect timing.
Open the wire fee explanation and calculator. For an eligible bank or card alternative, compare the ACH guide and debit-card guide before choosing a payment method.
