Ethereum units / Execution fees
Convert an Ethereum gwei amount into dollars, or calculate an execution fee from a gas price and gas units. Choose the calculation type below and enter an ETH price. The defaults are examples rather than live market data.

Choose what the gwei figure represents. Enter your own assumed ETH/USD price. The default $3,000 price and 0.05 gwei input are arithmetic examples; this calculator does not fetch a live price or gas quote.
Nonnegative number, up to nine decimal places. One billion gwei equals one ETH.
Positive price, up to eight decimal places. The default is an example.
Positive whole number, up to 12 digits. The 21,000 default illustrates a simple ETH transfer; other operations can use more.
Ethereum-denominated arithmetic. The execution-fee mode excludes provider charges, other transactions and any separate network data or additional fee components. The results are not a purchase, transfer or confirmation-time quote.
A gwei is an Ethereum denomination: 1 gwei equals 0.000000001 ETH. A wallet may use that denomination to display a price per gas unit. To calculate an execution fee, you also need the number of gas units used.
Use Convert a gwei amount for an amount already measured in gwei. Use Estimate a transaction execution fee when your number is a gas price and you also have gas used or an estimate. Ethereum’s gas guide explains the units and basic fee calculation.
This tool uses Ethereum’s denomination. A traded asset with GWEI as its ticker has its own market price. Read the unit and network on your source before copying a number.
At an invented ETH price of $3,000, an amount of 0.05 gwei equals 0.00000000005 ETH, or $0.00000015. That is the value of the gwei amount entered.
If 0.05 gwei is instead a gas price per unit and a transaction uses 21,000 gas, the arithmetic is:
21,000 × 0.05 ÷ 1,000,000,000 = 0.00000105 ETH
At the same assumed $3,000 ETH price, that execution fee equals $0.00315. The two results answer different questions. The default 21,000 units illustrates a simple ETH transfer; use the appropriate estimate or actual gas used for the operation you are checking.
| Input | What it represents | Illustrative USD result |
|---|---|---|
| 0.05 gwei | A gwei amount | $0.00000015 |
| 1 gwei | A gwei amount | $0.000003 |
| 0.05 gwei × 21,000 gas | Transaction execution fee | $0.00315 |
| 30 gwei × 21,000 gas | Transaction execution fee | $1.89 |

These prices and gas inputs are examples. They do not describe current market conditions, a token-send quote or a fee offered by Crypto Dispensers.
For a completed Ethereum transaction, use the gas actually used and its effective gas price. For a future transaction, use the wallet’s operation-specific estimate and understand that the final result may differ.
EIP-1559 distinguishes the base fee, priority fee, maximum fee and gas limit. A maximum fee per gas is a cap; it is not necessarily the effective price paid. A gas limit is also different from the amount actually used.
To convert a gas price shown in wei to gwei, divide it by 1,000,000,000. If the source already gives a total fee in ETH, multiplying that amount by your chosen ETH/USD price is sufficient; do not multiply by gas used a second time.
This tool calculates Ethereum-denominated amounts and the execution-fee arithmetic you enter. Check any separate network data costs, provider charges, account setup, bridge costs or additional transactions in the actual route. Other networks can use gwei notation for a different native asset; confirm the network before using an ETH/USD conversion.
A token approval followed by a swap can involve more than one transaction. Include the applicable costs for each step when comparing routes, while avoiding charges already included in a quoted total.
For a practical cost worksheet, read our USDC transfer fee guide. For purchase conditions and where to inspect your own offer, read our Ethereum buying page. A network-fee calculation alone does not describe the full cost of buying ETH.
One ETH equals 1,000,000,000 gwei. One gwei equals 1,000,000,000 wei. These are fixed unit conversions; their dollar value depends on the ETH price.
Divide the gwei amount by one billion to get ETH, then multiply by your assumed ETH/USD price. If the gwei number is a gas price per unit, multiply by the relevant gas used as well.
It uses the values you enter. The default 0.05 gwei, $3,000 ETH price and 21,000 gas units are illustrative. No live feed, transaction simulation or wallet connection is used.
Check whether you converted only a gas price per unit. A transaction execution fee also depends on gas used. Then inspect any other charges included in the wallet’s total.
The arithmetic does not predict inclusion or confirmation time. Use your wallet’s current guidance and the actual transaction status; a calculated fee does not guarantee processing.
Reviewed and calculator checked by the Crypto Dispensers team on November 2, 2026. Unit and gas background: Ethereum’s gas documentation. Fee-field distinctions: EIP-1559. Inputs are limited to nine decimal places for gwei, eight for ETH price and whole gas units so the calculation can use exact integer arithmetic. Dollar results can display very small amounts without rounding them to zero.
