Bank wires and account linking
Yes. A bank wire lets you send money through your own bank without connecting an ongoing bank-account link to the purchase service. You still need a verified account, an eligible funding account and a Bitcoin wallet.

For our wire purchase process, you send the transfer using your bank’s own website, app or branch after our team provides the instructions for your request. You do not need to connect a bank-account linking service to initiate that wire. Your bank may still require you to sign in, verify your identity or approve the payment.
This is a different question from whether you need a bank account at all. A wire is funded from an eligible bank account. It is also different from buying without identity verification: our account and purchase review requirements still apply.
Start with the Bitcoin wire purchase page to review our process and current pricing.
Create your account and complete the required verification. This identifies who is making the purchase.
You authorize a wire through your bank using the current instructions issued for your request. This sends the money.
You provide and confirm the receiving Bitcoin wallet. This is where the purchased Bitcoin will be delivered.
A bank connection, a wire instruction and a Bitcoin address serve different purposes. A Bitcoin address belongs in the receiving-wallet step, not in the bank account-number field.
Read our joint and business bank account guide if the account is shared or held by a company. Complete the ownership checks before sending. Do not assume that an account is accepted just because your bank lets you send from it.
Enter the amount, wallet and requested information in your account. Complete any outstanding verification.
Wait for the instructions for your approved request. Check the beneficiary, wire routing details, account and reference.
Authorize the wire through your bank. Save the receipt and transfer reference. A bank “sent” status does not confirm a Bitcoin purchase.
After funds arrive and the required review finishes, review the final Bitcoin price and costs before approving. Then confirm delivery to your wallet.
The illustrated wire purchase walkthrough shows the request screens and explains what to check at each step. For bank fields, use the wire-instructions guide. Never use example account or routing details from an educational page to send money.
| Question | Bank wire | ACH or card purchase |
|---|---|---|
| Where do you authorize payment? | Through your sending bank, using the issued wire instructions. | Through the available payment flow, with the checks shown for that method. |
| Is avoiding a bank link the same as skipping verification? | No. Required account and purchase checks still apply. | No. Payment authorization and verification are separate. |
| What should you compare? | Service fee, bank charge, review steps and delivery timing. | The actual quote, available limits, any applicable hold and delivery timing. |
Our published wire service fee is 8% below $100,000 and 5% for a wire of $100,000 or more, applied to the full wire amount. Your bank may charge separately. Check the current fee disclosure and the quote for your request. Avoiding an ongoing bank link does not remove fees or make a wire reversible.
If you prefer another payment method, compare buying Bitcoin with ACH and buying with a debit card. Use the eligibility and requirements shown in the current flow.
Use your bank’s official app, website or branch to authorize the wire. Do not send banking passwords, one-time login codes, wallet recovery words or private keys to someone offering to help with a purchase. A request for ownership documents is different from a request for your login credentials.
Open your Crypto Dispensers account directly when checking instructions or messages. If someone sends changed bank details unexpectedly, stop and verify them through your account or our official support route before paying.
If you have already sent a wire and want to stop the purchase, read when cancellation is possible and contact our team before approving the final Bitcoin price.
No. Your bank processes the wire and maintains its own payment records. This method does not make a purchase anonymous or bypass required checks.
Yes, after the required verification. Confirm account ownership and any requested business information before sending.
No. Bank processing, receipt and review, final price approval and Bitcoin delivery are separate stages.
Review the current wire service, fees and process, then create your request in your account. Wait for your own approved instructions before sending money.
