Bitcoin Wire Transfer Limits: What to Check Before Sending

Your bank’s sending limit, a provider’s purchase rules and your account review answer different questions. Confirm all three before arranging the wire.

Check three separate conditions.

Crypto Dispensers has no minimum or maximum wire purchase amount. That does not remove your bank’s sending limits or the review required for a particular account and purchase. Contact our team about the amount you intend to send before arranging funding.

01

Your bank

Can this account send the intended amount by domestic USD wire, using the channel you plan to use?

02

The purchase

Does the selected service accept the amount and funding arrangement? Our wire service has no minimum or maximum purchase amount.

03

Your account review

Are the identity, funding and transaction questions for this request complete, and is it ready for funding?

These are separate checks. Passing one does not automatically satisfy the others.

See our wire purchase page for the current process and how to begin.

Ask your bank about the limit that applies to your account.

A bank may have limits tied to the account, transfer type, daily total or channel used to submit a wire. A number displayed for an online transfer may not describe every bank-assisted option. Ask your bank which rule applies rather than assuming a limit from another customer or website is yours.

  • Is this a domestic USD wire, and is the intended recipient permitted?
  • What is my per-transfer limit and remaining daily sending allowance?
  • Does the limit differ between the app, online banking and a bank-assisted request?
  • What is the cutoff time, including its time zone, and what happens after it?
  • What fee will you charge, and is it paid separately from the amount sent?

Ask the bank to explain any approval or documentation needed for a different sending arrangement. Do not assume an increase will be granted.

A $50,000 plan with a $25,000 online cap

Hypothetical bank example

The purchase amount and the bank cap are different.

Suppose you intend to wire $50,000, but your bank shows a $25,000 online wire limit. The website’s ability to accept a $50,000 purchase does not authorize the bank to send it.

  1. Ask the bank which approved options apply to your account.
  2. Tell our wire team about the intended amount and any proposed funding arrangement.
  3. Wait for confirmation of the current instructions and required review before sending.

Do not split or disguise transfers to avoid review or reporting. Multiple transfers can also require separate matching, create extra bank fees and complicate the purchase. Any funding plan should be discussed openly with your bank and our team.

A fee threshold is not a purchase limit.

Our wire service fee is 8% below $100,000 and 5% at $100,000 or more. That threshold determines the published service-fee rate; it does not set a minimum purchase amount or promise approval.

For example, a $50,000 wire has a $4,000 service fee at 8%, leaving $46,000 before other applicable deductions. A $100,000 wire has a $5,000 service fee at 5%, leaving $95,000 before other applicable deductions. Neither figure is a final Bitcoin quote.

Keep your budget separate from the amount wired. A separately paid bank charge increases cash outlay. Use the wire cost calculator to review the amount and charges you actually intend to pay. A lower percentage is not a reason to increase your purchase budget.

Prepare for the request, not just the transfer amount.

A large available bank balance does not replace identity or funding checks. Our team may ask for clarification about the funding source or transaction details. Follow the specific request in your account and see our document preparation guide.

Use a bank account in your name. Ask about eligibility before using a joint, business or differently named account. Obtain the instructions for the current purchase instead of reusing details from an earlier wire.

Keep a record of the intended wire amount, the bank’s sending confirmation, the purchase reference and the final quote. If the bank cannot send the amount as planned, speak with our team before changing the funding arrangement.

Questions about wire purchase limits

Is $100,000 the maximum wire purchase?

No. Our wire service has no minimum or maximum purchase amount. The $100,000 figure is a service-fee threshold. Bank limits, eligibility and review still apply.

Can I buy less than $10,000 by wire?

Our published wire service has no minimum purchase amount. Review the total costs and the available payment methods for the amount you intend to spend.

Can my bank send more if I visit a branch?

Ask your bank. Available channels, limits and approval requirements depend on its rules and your account; a branch visit does not guarantee an increase.

Does having verified my account remove future reviews?

No. A purchase or funding arrangement may require additional information even if you completed an earlier identity check.
