To sell Litecoin for USD, use an eligible service that accepts LTC deposits and supports USD withdrawals to your bank. Follow its Litecoin deposit instructions, wait for the balance to be credited, review the sale and withdraw the available dollars.
A Litecoin transfer, a completed sale and a bank withdrawal each have their own status. Keeping the references for those stages makes it easier to confirm where your money is.
Our main guide to transferring crypto to a bank account covers the full process from choosing a selling provider to receiving dollars.
Confirm the asset and available balance in your wallet or exchange. If you hold a token representing Litecoin on another chain, ask the receiving service whether it supports that version before sending.
Choose a provider that serves your location and accepts your deposit. Check USD selling availability, identity requirements, minimums and bank withdrawal limits for the amount you have in mind.
Review the LTC quantity, execution price, service or trading charges and expected USD proceeds. Include a network fee paid from the sending wallet and any separate bank payout charge.
Check the accepted deposit type, address, minimum and confirmation requirement. Copy directly from the current receiving screen and compare the pasted destination before approving the send.
Using a MoonPay sell order for your LTC? Read our MoonPay payout guide before sending so you can match the transfer to the current order’s deposit instructions.
Save the Litecoin transaction ID and watch the deposit status. Once the provider makes the LTC available, review the current selling terms and complete the USD sale.
Use the linked bank account supported by your provider. Check the available cash balance, any holds and the arrival estimate. Keep the payout reference with your sale receipt.
Choose the last stage you can confirm. This tool helps you identify which record and support channel to use.
Our tracking worksheet separates the Litecoin network record from the provider’s account ledger and bank-payment record. It helps you ask the right service about the stage it controls.
| Stage | What establishes progress | Useful follow-up |
|---|---|---|
| Sending wallet | The wallet shows a broadcast transaction and transaction ID. | Ask the sender about a failed or unbroadcast withdrawal. |
| Litecoin network | A transaction record shows confirmation progress. | Compare the result with the receiving provider’s current requirements. |
| Provider crediting | The provider recognizes and credits the deposit. | Give receiving support the transaction ID, network and deposit reference. |
| USD sale | An executed sale receipt shows units, price and costs. | Check the actual cash balance and funds available to withdraw. |
| Bank withdrawal | A withdrawal record shows submission and provider status. | Ask for the payment reference, method and current estimate. |
| Receiving bank | The bank posts the fiat payment. | Reconcile posted proceeds with the sale and withdrawal receipts. |
A network confirmation establishes progress for that transaction on the blockchain. The provider separately applies its crediting requirements. Check its minimum deposit, required confirmations and accepted transfer type, then contact receiving support with the transaction details. Confirm the first deposit’s status before retrying.
Check whether you requested a withdrawal of the available USD balance. Keep the trade reference separate from the withdrawal reference. If a bank payout was submitted, use its status and payment method to follow the next stage.
| What you see | What to check |
|---|---|
| LTC has confirmations but is not credited | Compare the provider’s deposit requirement and minimum, then send its support team the transaction ID and deposit reference. |
| The preview shows fewer dollars than expected | Compare the current LTC price and all listed costs. The bank payout is based on the actual sale terms. |
| USD is held after the sale | Review withdrawal availability in your account and ask the provider which condition remains outstanding. |
Ask the provider which stage is outstanding and what action, if any, it needs from you. Keep the blockchain ID, sale receipt and payout reference together. Our delayed crypto-to-bank transfer guide explains how to follow up without duplicating a payment.
If your crypto is in a wallet you control, our self-custody cash-out guide covers deposit checks and signing. Use official support channels and keep recovery phrases and private keys private.
Use the stage worksheet to connect the LTC transaction ID, provider deposit, executed trade and bank-withdrawal reference. Keep the amount and date for each record. For U.S. reporting questions, see the IRS digital-asset guidance and your tax professional.
