Selling crypto / Bank payouts
Move from a Phantom token balance to dollars in your bank. Start with the asset your selling provider can actually receive.

To cash out Phantom Wallet to a bank account, send a supported token to an eligible exchange or selling provider, sell it for USD and withdraw the available dollars to your linked bank. Match the token and network, and keep enough of the network’s native asset for transfer fees.
The balance displayed in Phantom can include different tokens and networks. A token swap changes what you hold; a bank cash-out also requires a provider that converts the asset into fiat and supports your withdrawal.
Our main guide to transferring crypto to a bank account covers the full process from choosing a selling provider to receiving dollars.
Open the token details and note its network. Distinguish native SOL from other tokens and check whether the selling provider accepts the exact asset you intend to send.
Complete the provider’s eligibility and identity checks, link the bank where required, and review available USD withdrawals. Confirm deposit minimums before sending a small balance.
Open the provider’s deposit or receive screen for the asset and network. Copy the address and any memo or tag required by that provider.
Choose Send for the intended token, paste the destination and enter the amount. Match the address and network against the receiving instructions. Keep enough of the native network asset for fees.
Wait for the receiving service to make the funds available. Review the USD quote and costs, then complete the sale using the controls for that account.
Request the bank payment and save its reference alongside the crypto transaction ID and sale receipt. Check each stage separately if arrival takes longer than the provider’s estimate.
Start with the actual token and receiving support. The token’s portfolio value does not establish what an exchange can receive.
Our token checklist starts with receiving support because a Phantom portfolio can hold assets on different networks. Phantom’s official exchange-transfer guidance specifically flags CASH support and the native fee balance.
| What you hold | Question to resolve | Preparation record |
|---|---|---|
| Native SOL | Does the service accept native SOL on the intended network? | SOL deposit instructions and enough SOL for the transfer fee. |
| CASH | Does the receiving service explicitly accept CASH? | Its exact CASH support and network instructions. |
| Another token | Is this exact token and network supported, including the correct token details? | The token identifier, receiving support and deposit minimum. |
| An asset you plan to swap | Can the resulting token be deposited and sold for an eligible bank payout? | The swap quote, price impact, fees and receiving instructions. |
For asset-specific preparation, see our Solana selling guide if you hold SOL, or the USDT network checklist if you hold USDT. Check the exact token you have before selecting a deposit method.
A completed swap may leave you holding a different crypto token. Check what you received, whether the selling provider accepts it and which separate fiat sale or withdrawal remains. Keep both swap and sale records when they apply.
“I hold [exact token] on [network] in Phantom. Does my account accept deposits of this token on this network, and can I sell the credited amount for USD with a bank withdrawal? Please confirm any minimum and additional deposit information before I transfer.”
| What you see | What to check |
|---|---|
| The exchange does not accept the token | Do not send it. Ask about supported assets, then review any swap or alternative provider before proceeding. |
| The Send request fails | Check the fee-paying asset, available balance and wallet status. Keep your recovery phrase private. |
| A completed swap has not produced bank funds | Check whether you still hold a crypto token. Complete the separate supported sale and bank-withdrawal process. |
Ask the provider which stage is outstanding and what action, if any, it needs from you. Keep the blockchain ID, sale receipt and payout reference together. Our delayed crypto-to-bank transfer guide explains how to follow up without duplicating a payment.
If your crypto is in a wallet you control, our self-custody cash-out guide covers deposit checks and signing. Use official support channels and keep recovery phrases and private keys private.
Keep the exact token and network, any swap receipt, transfer ID, sale record and bank-payout reference. A swap and a fiat sale may create different records. For U.S. reporting questions, see the IRS digital-asset guidance and your tax professional.
Review our current service and check the assets, networks, location requirements and bank methods offered for your account before sending. Our team can help you understand the steps for an available sale.
Review our crypto selling service →Use a provider that supports your token and network, transfer under its current instructions, sell for fiat and withdraw using an eligible bank method.
Phantom states that only some exchanges support CASH. Confirm exact receiving support before transferring it.
The fee asset depends on the network. On Solana, keep enough SOL to pay the transfer fee; other networks use their own fee-paying assets.

We compared the linked public provider instructions and used those findings to build the decision checklist and examples. We checked the tool’s results for supported, unsupported and uncertain inputs. Our review covers public documentation; account-specific quotes and completed bank payouts were not tested. The examples are illustrative and the educational diagrams are our own.
